$5M Aviation Liability Insured
Every flight The Maryland Drone Company operates is covered by a $5,000,000 aviation liability policy — well above what most gig drone platforms and independent operators carry.
Why this matters to you
A drone flying over an active industrial facility, a loading dock, or a rooftop full of expensive HVAC equipment carries real risk if something goes wrong. Uninsured or under-insured operators shift that risk onto you as the property owner. Verified, adequate coverage means a mechanical issue or operator error doesn't become your liability — it's ours.
What the $5M Policy Covers
- Property damage — roofing, HVAC equipment, vehicles, and structures on or near the flight area
- Third-party bodily injury arising from flight operations
- Physical damage caused by the aircraft itself, including an unplanned landing or equipment failure
- Legal defense costs if a claim is filed against the flight operation
Need higher limits?
$5M is our standard policy limit, but some jobs — large distribution centers, sites near active flight paths, or contracts with their own insurance minimums — call for more. If your facility or your GC's contract requires higher coverage, let us know when you request a bid and we can increase the policy limit to match your job's requirements before we fly.
