Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how USA Venture Group LLC, doing business as The Maryland Drone Company ("Company," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and protects information in connection with this website and our commercial drone inspection services. This is a business-to-business service — we do not knowingly collect personal data from consumers for consumer purposes, and we do not sell personal data.
1. Information We Collect
When you submit a form on this website — such as a facility bid request or contact inquiry — we collect the information you provide, which may include your name, company name, email address, phone number, property address, approximate square footage, and the service you're interested in. We collect only what is reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and scope a potential flight.
When you browse this website, we and our hosting and analytics providers may automatically collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring site, generally through cookies or similar technologies.
2. Aerial Imagery Captured During Flights
This section applies to imagery captured while performing drone inspection services, which is distinct from information collected through this website. Our flights are scoped to the specific facility or property identified in the Project Agreement. Depending on the property's layout, imagery or thermal data may incidentally include portions of neighboring properties, parking areas, or individuals present on or near the site at the time of the flight. We do not use aerial imagery to identify or track individuals, and we do not sell aerial imagery or data to third parties. If a neighboring property owner or another party has a concern about a specific flight, they may contact us using the information below.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to: respond to inquiries and prepare estimates; schedule and perform flights; deliver reports and data; process payment; comply with FAA recordkeeping and insurance requirements; and improve this website. We do not use website form submissions for unrelated marketing without your consent.
4. Data Minimization
We collect only the information reasonably necessary and proportionate to provide the specific service requested, consistent with Maryland's data minimization expectations under the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA). We do not require you to create an account or provide sensitive personal data to request an estimate.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal data. We share information only with: service providers who help us operate this website, process payments, or manage scheduling and email (bound by confidentiality obligations); professional advisors such as our accountant or attorney where necessary; and government or regulatory authorities where required by law, such as FAA recordkeeping requirements. If your project involves a general contractor, insurer, or consultant you've engaged, we share deliverables with them only at your direction.
6. Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions and project records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, perform the engaged services, and satisfy legal, insurance, and recordkeeping obligations, after which they are deleted or de-identified. Raw flight imagery for completed projects is retained for a limited period to support warranty questions or reprocessing requests, then archived or deleted.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you, or to ask what categories of data we collect. To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 10. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
8. Cookies & Analytics
This website may use cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and to understand how visitors use the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling cookies may affect some website functionality, such as the interactive pricing calculator.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information submitted through this website and collected during our engagements. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
This website and our services are directed at businesses and are not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
